I’m getting married in January and honestly, wedding planning is tough. Whenever someone asks me how it is going, I give of candid answer of…stressful. There are so many little details to think about and being the control freak I am, I want to ensure everything is absolutely perfect. Don’t get me wrong, I still love it and this is an incredible time in my life. And plus there are so many fun parts in the process, like getting to go to food tastings, finding the perfect dress, and the engagement photos! We recently took ours, so I wanted to share with you some of the amazing photos we got back from our photographer, Tillman Theatre.
My goal is to be fearless. Though I admit my nerves were on edge from the point when the plane took off until my instructor finally pulled my parachute. I kept reciting one of my favorite Game of Thrones quotes before the big jump, “If we die we die, but first we’ll live.” People ask if the free-fall portion truly felt like I was falling. Yes, it did. But it was also one of the most surreal experiences in my life. The adrenaline rush you get is unmatched, the view from the descent is breathtaking, and the experience itself is ethereal. I highly recommend this to anyone who is considering it.
Best skydiving outfits? How often do you get to jump out of a plane wearing a Wonder Woman or Superman costume? I’m so glad I thought of this!
Did it seem like a good idea at the time? Yes. Was it worth it? Definitely. Would I do it again? Maybe on a milestone birthday, like my 50th.
These days, animals are able to create a name for themselves through their social media savvy owners on Instagram. So I challenged myself to operate an Instagram account for my foxy Shiba Inu puppy, Brody. I get to share his cuteness with the world all while documenting his best moments in his life journey. I imagine how he might think or feel in the moments that i’ve captured, essentially becoming my dog. And I gotta say, the life of a dog is pretty sweet.
Of course, I took the opportunity to follow heart-melting fuzz balls and other various animals on his account, so I can shamelessly scroll through all the adorable pictures on his newsfeed – it makes me so happy. These animals just know how to hit you hard in the feels.
